Customer: HM Group - HOSPITALS
HM Hospitals is a business group that manages different private medical and surgical centers with highly specialized experts and cutting edge medical equipment.
Project: TRC Informática's intervention consisted of the design, installation and deployment of a Hospital Management Software

Implementation Time: 8 Months with a team of 10 individuals.

Challenge

HM Hospital Group had different and disconnected programs and data bases for each hospital. Simultaneously, there were new business challenges and high growth expectations.

There was a double challenge as TRC had to simultaneously maintain all existing information and obtain the new information from the entire business group while simultaneously reduce the administrative tasks for Grupo HM - Hospitales.

Proposal

The business proposal was based on a systematic study of the existing system and a GAP analysis about current and future business needs.

Business requirements were divided in the following modules:

• User access, profiles and access security.
• System Quality - Confidential data access.
• Admission and patient management.
• Invoicing - medical fees, private and public insurance, Account Payable and Receivable.
• Pharmacy - automated vendor order system, inventory system.
• Other Services - Laboratory, Radiology, Anatomical Pathology.
• Medical Management - Obtain necessary Hospital Information for an optimal management of the particular Hospital.
• Document Archive - Maintain Clinical History, internal and external archives, file cipher for CMBD.
• Appointment Management.
• General Service Management - General Services Warehouse, Invoice reconciliations.
• Area specific modules - Intensive care, Surgery.

Results

Once the proposal was accepted, the changes were made a functional beta was ready in 8 months.
The most innovative aspects of the Hospital Management System were:

• Multi-Hospital Configurable Information.
• PDA usage for Patient treatment management.
• Patient Data Security.
• Improvements in the user access and control areas.
