Sacyr S.A.U.

Customer: SACYR, S.A.U
Address: New Madrid Community Hospital in Coslada
Project: TRC Informática's intervention consisted of the design and installation of the structured cabling system. The installation of the Radio Distribution and Analog and Digital TV systems. The design and installation of the Analog and IP Telephony, LAN and WAN services.
Manufacturer & Category: System SCS SYSTIMAX GigaSPEED X10 6A Category. Multimode Fiber Optic SYSTIMAX OM3 LazrSPEED
Implementation Time: September 2006 - July 2007
Technical Information
The Communications project was divided as follows:
- Structured Cabling - Multiservice Network
- Voice Systems - Telephony
- Data Services - Electronic Network
- TV Infrastructure RF services
The Hospital is housed in building of irregular geometry. Consisting of a central passageway with perpendicular connections in both sides and with 7 floors in height composed of:
- Basement floors 1 & 2
- Floors 0 through 3
- Storage floor
Additionally, there is an independent industrial building connected by a gallery in one of the basement floors. The building houses the main building heating and cooling units and electrical transformers.
The installation of all services, except for RF TV, was completed using Ethernet connectivity in different speeds and with the exclusive use of the IP protocol for network transfers.
Structured Cabling
The structured cabling system was fully done using GigaSPEED XL by SYSTIMAX. This solution is compliant with the Category 6 cabling standard which allows Ethernet network transmission speeds of 1 Gbps.
The structured cabling system ha a data vertical subsystem done with OM3 fiber optics which allows network transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps. The voice connections were done using copper multipair and coaxial cables.
The cabling solution was done with a central distribution system in the Data center and with 10 secondary distribution systems. Each of the secondary distribution systems manages the horizontal cabling for the zone and is connected to the main system via fiber optic, copper and coaxial cable connections.
Telephony
The following systems were deployed using guided transmission technology with VoIP and TDM signaling systems and wireless telephony transmission:
Without Pre-pay control
- Fixed telephony internal and external communication with the Hospital
- Fixed telephony internal intercommunication with the Hospital
- Internal hospital paging system with 100% coverage
- Fixed telephony number customer service system
With Pre-pay control
- In patient rooms and public telephones
- Fixed telephony internal and external hospital communication
Network Electronics
The following services were deployed using: guided transmission technology, with Ethernet signaling at different speeds, WIFI wireless transmission, and network traffic segmentation using VLANs:
- Guided data transmission thought the entire hospital
- Wireless data transmission with 100% coverage in the entire Hospital
- Traffic management inside the Hospital
- Security Management for resource access both inside and outside the Hospital (SERMAS)
RF Television Infrastructure
The following services were deployed using television transmission technology via cable in the UHF band:
- Capture and distribution of public Digital TV stations
- Capture and distribution of public Digital TV satellite stations
- Using UHF transmission techniques the Generation and distribution of TV channels belonging to the Hospital based on DVD players, public Health programs specific to each medical specialty
- Using UHF transmission techniques the Generation and distribution of TV channels belonging to symposiums and events celebrated in the Hospital meetings rooms or seminaries given in the Hospital training rooms
- Optional connection to pay TV channels. Offered in a pay-per-view format.
